I compress things until they're ready to burst.

Everything I make starts with what costs almost nothing: paper scraps, printed waste, objects from the street. Cheap materials, but loaded ones. I fold them, layer them, build pressure into their structure — until the moment of opening becomes an event.

Compression is my method and my subject. I'm interested in what gets stored inside things that look small, flat, and harmless — and what happens when they finally open. The materials are disposable. The tension is not.
